Sub-brow Lift

“ Simultaneously corrects drooping eyelids, crow's feet, and impaired vision ”

Sub-brow Lift: Minimizing Scarring While Maximally Correcting Eyelid Sagging
Sub-brow Lift is a procedure that incises along the lower border of the eyebrow to lift and secure the sagging eyelid skin and muscle. It fundamentally improves age-related eyelid sagging and periocular wrinkles, while also resolving functional discomforts such as impaired vision, skin maceration, and eyelash irritation.
Since the incision is made along the eyebrow line rather than the eyelid, scarring is less visible, making it superior to Upper Blepharoplasty for improving lateral eyelid sagging. Additionally, since it does not create double eyelids, recovery is faster.

Key Differentiators

1Natural-looking Impression Change
A customized design tailored to your face and eye shape creates a defined yet natural-looking impression.
2Scar-minimizing Design
The incision design follows the Relaxed Skin Tension Lines (RSTL) combined with micro-suturing, resulting in barely visible post-operative scarring.
3Trichophytic method
A diagonal incision along the inferior brow margin preserves the hair follicles, allowing eyebrow hairs to grow through the scar and naturally conceal it.
4Prevents Narrowing of the Distance Between Eyes and Eyebrows
The lower orbicularis oculi muscle is anchored to the frontalis muscle to prevent the eyebrow from descending.
who

Suitable Candidates for Sub-brow Lift

Sub-brow Lift is recommended for the following:

  • Those whose drooping eyelids obstruct vision or create a tired appearance
  • Those with severe lateral eyelid skin sagging or skin maceration
  • Those who wish to maintain their existing double eyelid line while only correcting the excess overlying skin
  • Those for whom Upper Blepharoplasty may appear unnatural due to significant
skin thickness differences at the suture site from excessive skin removal
  • Those whose eyelashes irritate the eyes due to eyelid skin sagging (trichiasis)
plan

Surgical Method

Design
Design based on Relaxed Skin Tension Lines (RSTL)
Incision
Diagonal incision with follicle preservation (Trichophytic method)
Skin Excision
Removal of excess skin after incision (*Fat and muscle are partially removed if the eyelid is bulky)
Frontalis Muscle Fixation
The lower orbicularis oculi is anchored to the frontalis to prevent the eye-brow distance from narrowing
Suturing
Two-layer closure to minimize scarring
It is also effective for periocular maceration caused by excessive lateral skin overhang; post-operatively, removal of the overhanging skin naturally restores the existing double eyelid line.

Surgical Results

1
Natural & Youthful Eye Contour
Correcting drooping eyelids and periocular wrinkles creates a softer, more youthful appearance.
2
Improved Vision & Functional Enhancement
Removing the overhanging skin widens the visual field and resolves periocular discomforts such as skin maceration and eyelash irritation.
3
Existing Double Eyelid Line Preserved
Since the double eyelid crease is not directly altered, the existing double eyelid is preserved while only the eyelid sagging is naturally corrected.
4
Inconspicuous Scarring
The incision is located just below the eyebrow, naturally concealed, and becomes barely visible over time.
Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1.Will Sub-brow Lift leave significant scarring?

A.

Not at all.

Eyebrow Border Incision

The incision is placed just below the eyebrow line, making post-operative scars barely noticeable.

RSTL-Guided Design

Incision parallel to the Relaxed Skin Tension Lines ensures the scar fades and becomes invisible over time.

Trichophytic Method Applied

This follicle-preserving incision technique allows eyebrow hairs to regrow through the scar, naturally concealing it.
